A home for us Dragon Quest nerds to post things related to the video game series

Rules:

  1. No unmarked spoilers

  2. No piracy links. Mods/patches are fine (rom hacks but NOT roms)

  3. No NSFW posts.

  4. Be respectful, and don't get upset at people lookjng for help - don't send them off to google etc. for help elsewhere.

  5. If you are posting a fanwork (art, fiction, game, music cover) be sure to credit the creator. This can be a name, user or link to the credited source.

  6. Don't join the Dragon Lord to rule half the world. He'll just backstab you anyway and its very uncool, hero.

I've played the second one quite a lot - is the first one still worth playing over, you know, just playing more of the second?

The gameplay in the second one was pretty much an all-around improvement over the first one, but I preferred the original's story. You won't get the full effect of DQB1's story unless you've played the original Dragon Quest, though, since they're closely connected.
