Perseverance rover check after a drive to the Southwest of 100.14 meters (328.55 feet) on Sol 838 (June 29, 2023. The rover's total traverse since landing is now 18.97 kilometers (11.79 miles). The rover completed the drive at a slightly higher elevation 0.79 meters ( 2.59 feet). The rover's sidekick helicopter is now stationed at 'Xi' airfield (flight 52 landing) to the West of the rover. The distance between Perseverance rover and Ingenuity helicopter is estimated to be 327 meters (1072.83 feet). The map has a 100 meters scale bar, North is up. The official distance between the two craft can only be verified once the precise location of the helicopter is established. Image credits: NASA/JPL-Caltech (PH)
