An active user on Lemmy is "someone who has posted or commented on our instance or community within the last given time frame.” Source. That means lurkers are not counted as active users. There are currently almost 200k total users spread across the top 10 non-bot lemmy instances.

I agree with you. However, I think most people like myself coming from reddit won't stay here if there is a lack of content. So there need to be more users for this reason IMO

Oh absolutely, you're right. I definitely hope it'll grow a fair bit more, but it doesn't have to turn into the behemoth reddit is - is all I meant. ;)
