I got a bunch of stuff from my wishlist: Stray, Rain World, Stardew Valley, Subnautica, SEASON, and Kena: Bridge of Spirits.
Oh my God, you are gonna play Subnautica for your first time. God, I wish I could forget so I could play it again just like the first time. It's a wonderful game. :)
I'm gonna try that one soon myself, because I keep seeing comments like yours and that's usually a good sign.
Similar for me is Outer Wilds. I keep seeing people highly recommend it (and to go in blind), so I intend to do exactly that.
Both are great! The former has a good mix of fun crafting, a great story, beautiful music and environments, and just the perfect pinch of fear of the deep. It's a very satisfying game, the vehicles are fantastic too.
Man you're in for a GOOD time. Subnautica and Stardew Valley are some of my favorites
Plus you can install mods for them, which has made the Steam Deck my favourite handheld.
I tried Kena on my Steam Deck but ended up playing through it on my gaming PC instead. It does work on Deck but a big part of the game's appeal for me was its visuals. On that front the game really loses a large part of its charm when constrained by the Deck's hardware.
Stardew Valley on the the other hand is the perfect fit for the Steam Deck 👨🌾
