Always good to see someone in the industry push back on all of these shitty tactics the AAA publishers want to push.

I don't think that's a fair analysis. Diablo 4 sold extremely well and it did it primarily off being another Diablo game. BG3 has been selling incredibly well but I can't say that's not because it is in Faerun and it's hard to tell because it is a great game. People love it for more than the world and the elements given to it by being in a franchise. Yet, DOS2 had a lot of the same elements but it's not nearly as popular despite how I might love its world more.
