Idk if mine is weird or cool or just sappy... I've had a service dog for 9 years. He turns 10 in a few days and I'm not coping well with the fact that he's aging. Time has flown and it'll never feel like enough.
One of my friends makes incredible needlefelt art. For example this is a Pabu from Legend of Korra that she made for me. When I'm brushing my dog, I've been collecting his shed fur; that way, when he passes, I can have a needlefelt statue made of him. He's a malamute, so there's PLENTY of fur.
Cherish every moment you get with your pets... it feels like you blink and years have passed.

He really is. I got him from a shelter and he figured out how to detect my seizures on his own. I like to think that we rescued each other. 😊
