Ukrainian internal affairs adviser Anton Gerashchenko posted the clip on X (formerly Twitter) of the unnamed Russian serviceman describing how he had been "sent to slaughter" in the war.

Are we also listening to the videos posted by Russian soldiers on X of Ukrainian soldiers saying they're completely outmatched on every front? No?

Well then why do we care what a Ukrainian government official posts? Both sides are dumping propaganda into the void and we're just eating up whichever side we like more.

Every piece of information, even propaganda, is a valuable data point.

Not if the mods take down propaganda from the other side, leaving the community entirely propagandized by one perspective.

They leave up VOA articles, and VOA is literally US propaganda. They also leave up Kyiv Post, CNN, and Ukrainian Pravda, as well as Times of Israel and Haaretz.

They're much more aggressive moderating against ad hominem attacks, though.

It's next to impossible to have rational discussions about this war.

Most people on these forums are consumed by propaganda and don't even realize it.

There's two rational positions on this: allow all propaganda, or block all propaganda. Selectively allowing propaganda is just exposing the mods' political opinions and pushing it on everyone else.

Fact is, nobody really knows what's going on. Fog of war is in play and everyone has an incentive to lie.
