bold of her to insist the ministerial code doesn't apply to her

Seems to be the way for politicians caught doing bullshit. But don't worry. She won't see any jail time, fines or significant penalties. And in about 3 years (give or take) she'll be appointed to the boards of several private companies.

Carry on, nothing to see here.

The really annoying thing is that if one of us did a wee bit of fraud it would be, go straight to jail, do not pass go, and a hard time finding work ever after

a wee bit of fraud 😂 I know I have felt guilty for walking out of the self serve without paying for my bread because it was sitting where babies sit. These cunts are writing cheques after a good root.

Absolutely. And it won't change until political fuckery is criminalized. Somehow private funds are sacred, but public funds are a free for all.

Shit in work in Public Service and the processes for funding and paying anything are very lengthy and quite robust.

I get very shitty when I read about massive contracts being awarded without due process.

Yes there's a lot of bureaucracy, but when it comes public cash, it should be scrutinised.

Isn't she an executive at Optus now? Or was immediately after resigning?

So it would appear. Wouldn't surprise me if she's got other roles/memberships as well.
