Letters: Don’t buy into “greedflation” — companies raising prices because they can
(www.denverpost.com)
A place for ex-pats from the Denver Post comment section (closing down in July), as well as people that want to discuss Denver Post articles in general.
The headline is confusing. I thought that it was saying that "greedflation" is a myth that the readers should not "buy" as in "beleieve."
Instead, it means that consumers should not "buy" products because it reinforces and valudates greedflation.
Maybe I was the only one confused by that, but I figured I would share.
I shared that same confusion. "Buy into" is a pretty common way to say "believe"
And then the next half seems like a reason not to believe that greedflation exists, but it is just a defition of greedflation.
