Social media posturing refers to the act of presenting oneself on social media in a way that is intended to impress others and create a certain image or impression. This can involve carefully curating the content one shares, such as pictures, statuses, and likes, in order to portray a specific lifestyle or persona.

This is a common phenomenon as social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn are often seen as a stage to perform our ideal selves.

No need to virtue signal, friends. There's no stage. ;)

I'm pretty honest on here and I kinda like everyone who I've talked to, and I feel pretty comfortable speaking my mind, everyone has been super polite ftmp. I've been through too much to gaf tbh. I have a very porous filter as it is.

You are your experience, any lies or misportrayal only hurts you in the long run. So yea I agree, but I also don't really care how you consume your social media.

Bullshit is easily detectable by any semblance of a human being ime.

Right, and people do what they want. Just seems quite contrarian that zealous vilification of something isn't viewed with as much despise as the subject being vilified. It's behavior that seems to have carried over from other platforms. "Don't just beat a dead horse, start a viral social media campaign then profit off the merchandising from it too!"
