Back in melbs after much driving yesterday and today. I've grown to really like long country drives. After a very long resistance to listening to podcasts in the car I think I'm converted. Just starting with Radio National for now.
I also inexplicably have developed angular cheilitis (corners of mouth are cracked and sore) over the last few days and now I've got a pair of mouth ulcers on the top and bottom lip near them as well. Not fun.
But overall, a fantastic few days off.
Welcome back to Melb!
Unfortunately the podcasts I listen to are either sports or comedy related stuff so probably won’t be your thing but I’m sure someone here knows of some good suggestions for you.
Thanks! It looks like a forecast of the usual cold and misery, but it's sort of good to be back in familiar territory with slightly less murderous drivers. I will definitely be looking into more podcasts as I have some regional work trips coming up. Might even consider an audiobook
Actually I have one suggestion that a friend sent to me a few years ago that might be what you’re looking for.
It’s a podcast by ABC called Life Matters and has some interesting topics that might take your fancy.
Yes, I started listening to a bit of that and quite enjoyed it. They have some fascinating ones as part of RN, like Conversations and This Working Life
I spent many years driving all over the state for work. I have many podcast recommendations of various genres.
oooh. I would love any recommendations for podcasts around the 45-60 minute length, especially about mental health, relationships, the workplace, or the natural world. Preferably soothing or serious and not blokey or jokey or provocative or with too many people (I find those jarring when driving - same with radio hosts).
