To us, apparently not. Tough, stringy and tasting of old socks and urine. Stale urine. Whale meat is not nice. Source: my dad who had to eat the stuff during WWII. Protein is protein though and whale meat wasn't rationed. Possibly because no-one wanted to eat it twice.

I have eaten more whale meat than I really care to admit (used to live in a whaling town and was too polite to turn down the food cooked for me). It can be quite tasty, depending on how it’s cooked. Fried it just tastes like bacon because there’s a lot of fat in it.
