The Steam Deck ran it surprisingly well, to be honest. I used the settings off this page and it ran at a pretty solid ~40 FPS.

Not my favorite game, but it was pretty and fun to jump around hacking people as I hacked at people (with a katana). Story was ok, and the ending was just a bit meh for me, but worth it in my eyes.

Next I'm on to playing Outer Wilds docked to the TV with my partner. I'm a few cycles into it and am hooked. The Steam Deck was an excellent buy!

Recently finished outer wilds on the deck, and now I'm working through the dlc. If you're hooked, you are in for a ride. My advice is don't look at walkthroughs if you have the patience. Sometimes if you stare at the problem for long enough it might just solve itself. ;)

I can concur. Outer Wilds is one of the best games out there, and the DLC is a whole other ballgame, it's amazing.

Very fair. My wife and I are treating it as a puzzle we get to solve together. Currently, it is our moment to unwind a bit before bed, so it is a nice game to just explore at our own pace. We will steer clear of walkthroughs as the whole point is to figure out what's going on for ourselves.

And thanks for the advice!

You're doing it right. I always recommend The Outer Wilds as a couple's game even though it's single player for that reason. The puzzles and story are so good that my GF loved playing it with me. I almost wish I could wipe my memory and play it again for the first time.
