Your question subject cannot be illegal or NSFW material. You will be warned first, banned second.

Rule 3- Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here.

Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here. Breaking this rule will not get you or your post removed, but it will put you at risk, and possibly in danger.

Rule 4- No self promotion or upvote-farming of any kind.

That's it.

Rule 5- No baiting or sealioning or promoting an agenda.

Questions which, instead of being of an innocuous nature, are specifically intended (based on reports and in the opinion of our crack moderation team) to bait users into ideological wars on charged political topics will be removed and the authors warned - or banned - depending on severity.

Rule 6- Regarding META posts and joke questions.

Provided it is about the community itself, you may post non-question posts using the [META] tag on your post title.

On fridays, you are allowed to post meme and troll questions, on the condition that it's in text format only, and conforms with our other rules. These posts MUST include the [NSQ Friday] tag in their title.

If you post a serious question on friday and are looking only for legitimate answers, then please include the [Serious] tag on your post. Irrelevant replies will then be removed by moderators.

Rule 7- You can't intentionally annoy, mock, or harass other members.

If you intentionally annoy, mock, harass, or discriminate against any individual member, you will be removed.

Likewise, if you are a member, sympathiser or a resemblant of a movement that is known to largely hate, mock, discriminate against, and/or want to take lives of a group of people, and you were provably vocal about your hate, then you will be banned on sight.

Rule 8- All comments should try to stay relevant to their parent content.

Rule 9- Reposts from other platforms are not allowed.

Let everyone have their own content.

Rule 10- Majority of bots aren't allowed to participate here.

MODERATORS

I have a theory that there is a impossible trinity (like in economics), where a food cannot be delicious, cheap and healthy at the same time. At maximum 2 of the 3 can be achieved.

Is there any food that breaks this theory?

Edit: I was thinking more about dishes (or something you put in your mouth) than the raw substances

Some popular suggestions include

  • fruits (in season) and vegetables
  • lentils, beans, rice
  • mushrooms
  • chicken
  • just eat in moderation

Edit 2: Thanks for the various answers. Now there are a lot of (mostly bean-based) recipes for everyone to try out!

Also someone made a community for cheap healthy food after seeing this topic!

Curiously, peanuts πŸ₯œ.

100 gr of peanuts have almost all the fatty acids that you need in a day, with almost half the minimum calorie intake required and half the protein you need. They are satiating, VERY easy to grow, and even used as a way to replenish the soil with nutrients in crop rotation.

If you ask me what was the mana taken through the dessert, I'd say most likely peanuts.

Peanuts are 50%, even worse than potato chips. 100 grams aren’t very satiating, at least to me. I’m not sure I’d consider that healthy.

If you only take calories intake as the sole driver, you'll have a very bad diet.

Yes, they have the same calories as potato chips, but the nutritional profile is insanely better. If you look into this comparison, While it's true peanuts contains more fat.than potatoes, they have less than half the saturated fats than potato chips. That's the kind of fat you have to avoid because they affect your heart and body composition negatively.

Also, they contain a huge amount of proteins and dietary fiber. Just by taking 200gr of peanuts, you've met your good fats and proteins intake without reaching your calorie intake. And you are still 1/3 down in fiber. Put some celery there, and you are sweet.

And if 100gr of peanuts is not satiating enough, maybe you should recheck your diet. I usually have 30 to 50 gr as a snack in the afternoon, and I'm set until dinner. And I'm having a daily calorie intake over 2400 cal.

Typical sugar eater complaining they're hungry all the time. 😁

It couldn't be peanuts, because it evaporated or melted when the sun hit it.
