This is a general community for 40k miniatures, art, lore discussion, and gameplay discussion.
Rules
- Keep it civil.
- No memeposts/shitposts. Memes are great but direct them to grimdank.
- Please mark any posts containing realistic nudity or realistic excessive gore/violence as NSFW; this rule mainly applies to cosplay and realistic drawings rather than miniatures. Being that 40k is inherently violent, this is a judgement call, and mods may occasionally request posters add tags.
- No political or social cause agenda pushing.

How do you contain the UV resin to get it shaped before hitting it with a light?
My attempts have not been ideal.
As I do resin casting (dice, etc), I have silicone mats. I have cut a strip to temporarily affix around the base as a dam.
Mind you, these will be done as many thin layers.
That sounds more successful than trying to closely adhere plasticard or acrylic sheets to make a container.
I'm happy with it.
Great shape on the resin yeah. It looks gross.
Thanks!
Here is the silicone dam in action. The UV resin will hold it in place until I remove it.
