Just reading elsewhere that it’s suspected to be drowning following a heart attack. That’s tragic, if so as if his assistant was still there he might have had a chance.

One of my life goals is to have a house with a pool. (totally unrealistic and unaffordable where I live), but drowning in my pool is a lingering fear.

This... Just confirms I probably shouldn't. :-(

There are really affordable pool options (e.g. above ground pools), but you'll need property first. And honestly, you probably don't even need that much property, you can probably get by with 1/6 acre (675 m²).

I have enough property, but the drowning risk and maintenance need make it incredibly unappealing to me. So I have a subscription to a local pool and just swim there.
