Politics about its man-child leader aside, Tesla (which is part of the Western auto industry) is extremely successful on both production ramping, with high margins, with strong sales. In 2023 the Tesla model Y is the best selling car in the world displacing ~20 year holder of that title, the Toyota Camry.
