I feel like I should like a lot of yuri stuff, but the nag to me is when it feels like they’re being pushed into it by “The Writer”.
Interestingly, I also know of another graphic novel in which all men have disappeared (except one) called Y: The Last Man. In that one, they haven’t solved the reproduction issue, leading to a tense future - it’s a bit more dramatic rather than just sexualized paradise.
Fair enough on the first point, I didn't feel like this series was pushing or sexualising yuri, however, it definitely shows a much happier world than what reality would be.
The series definitely focuses a lot more on the relationship of the 2 main characters than what happens in the world and what caused the world to be the way it is, which is fine for this series since its quite short, but I can see how that lack of world building and world exploration could turn some people away.
