Just did a bit more poking around in the interests of Science. On regular user posts I can delete the post, lock it or pin it, and I can either ban the user from the community or appoint as mod (which are right next to each other lol well done whoever designed this UI).

On YOUR posts or the posts of other mods, all I can do is lock or pin the post. No option to remove it, as well as nothing I can do to you as users.

So seems like you're pretty protected as head mod, but if one of the other mods goes off the rails you're also the only one who can do anything about it.
