“Regarding C.M. Punk, there is obviously tons of talk regarding him returning. There have been rumors that it’s happening, but those in WWE have only said that no deal is completed and those close to Punk have told us that it is his intention to return and the two sides are in talks. One would expect if such a deal is made that Survivor Series weekend in Chicago would be the time to do the surprise return”

There's some truth to that, but I don't think it will stop Punk from exploding again. Hell, not being treated like the star he sees himself as might set him off sooner.

Though it will be significantly less damaging to WWE when he does, since, like you said, he's not the biggest name there.

Plus, if he has a fit there he'll just vindicate HHH and Vince saying he was more trouble than he's worth all those years ago.

Low key, if I were HHH, and a worse person, I'd fuck with him in very slight ways to feed his paranoia and make him explode just to drive home the point that he's not worth having around.
