CBFs hitting suuuuper hard today, unsurprisingly. I decided before I start whinging here about what I don't want to do, I'll swallow some small frogs. Lodged a complaint/refund request about my air purifier not arriving so that's one huge headache addressed for now. Rice is cooked for the belated tinned fish celebration. Yay.

Trying to feel better by celebrating the garden...

photos and shit

The snow pea forest is thriving and fruiting, yay! I know it'd be better if they were spaced further apart, but I'm very happy with having found this position and this planter box. Come at me delicious fresh pods!

Lil jasmine plant I bought a year ago has flowered nicely and smells gorgeous - I hope it brings a smile to everyone passing by. Some day when I move I'll have to untwine it and prune off what I can't untwine and hope it survives. I think they're quite resilient, it should be okay?

And finally my rocoto chilli is already (!) putting out new flowers. I suspect it's a little confused. Will need to find a new spot for it when it becomes more reliably warm. Need to harvest the chillos for some experimentation and maybe try and save some seeds??

But also, just as much as I see the good, I also see sooo much maintenance I need to tackle before I head off again in two weeks - repotting, pruning, pulling out dead plants - and I feel blah again even though I normally don't mind doing it and feel productive.

And work... ugh... no... sads...

Looking good!

I'd say jasmine would be one of the more resilient things I have in the garden keeps growing into and strangling shit this time of year. I go at it pretty heavily just to give the other stuff a chance. Always bounces back. It's probably 40+ yrs old.

Yeah true, I've seen them take down entire fences. I'm conscious that this little one is still small/young but it's also been doing p well so don't think I need to worry about vigour when I do prune it - would likely be after the flowering season and heading into winter.

it's currently growing in a deep but narrow tree seedling pot and doesn't seem rootbound, I'll maybe repot it in another year's time depending on where I end up.

Yeah it was sad because I only remembered to eat at like 1pm and was ashamed at myself for being so self sabotaging. I chopped up some garden coriander to go with it though so it did look nice.
