Mabuhay at maligayang pag-alis sa Lemmy! ✈️

An abandoned community for the Philippines and all things Filipino! πŸ‡΅πŸ‡

Started out as a Reddit alternative during the blackout from Jun 12-21, 2023 with over 1k members in just a few days. Fizzled faster than the "I Didn't Do It" kid after a month until it became the internet's Centralia in less than a year.

Today’s Ask PHlemmings: What do you miss about quarantine in 2020?

Earth's healing.

I miss the slow-paced lifestyle. I loved the feeling of waking up and having nothing on my agenda. No plans, no responsibility, no expectations. I could exist without having to worry about keeping up with anxiety-inducing social demands.

The memes, like this parody of Metal Gear Solid.

Meron din prepper group in FB that wanted to team up together for a real life version of The Division so that they could come to people's aid during the pandemic against looters and rioters. Dami ko tawa kasi sa wakas nakahanap na sila ng excuse i-relive yung fantasy nila.

PhP38/L gas prices is my practical answer.

Pero in my heart siguro, yung smogless skyline ng Manila. Yung mga photos na may visible mountains sa timeline ko at that time probably helped me in coping with the situation.

The massive amount of free time na bigla na lang ihahanda sa'yo on a silver platter.

Wished na nagamit ko yun for upskilling rather than binging, though didn't regretted doing the latter din naman.

Empty roads. Napilitan ako mag-bike nung start ng pandemic kasi no work no pay me kami, ang sarap magbike sa gitna ng EDSA hahaha
