My guess is that if someone would film a show like that he/she would be disappeared within days, so nobody is brave enough.

Guy below found it. In the Name of the People, its really the Chinese approved and likely assisted with financing/resources version of the US' House of Cards.
Tbh, I feel like it makes a ton of sense for the CCP to dramatize and show how things can play out for potential corrupt players. Im prolly being naïve here but I feel like its the same reason prosecutors have to disclose the evidence they have on you. It literally makes no sense for them to try and ambush you at trial, much better everyone is spared the expense and hardship of trial if you already know you're cooked and can come out with more by pleading it out or whatever.
They did ok with the Sopranos...
