She doesn't make it, unfortunately. It's one of the few early character deaths that is permanent.Later Star Trek:The Next Generation spoilers
The actress makes a return, both as the same character, and as someone else, however.Personally, I think it's definitely an interesting episode and villain concept, and it's one of the few episodes that doesn't shy away from outright killing a named character, which usually isn't the kind of thing you see in RetroTrek.
