This is why I set a timer for everything I do after smoking. Doesn’t matter if it’s 2 minutes, it gets a timer on my phone because I will absolutely forget to ________ otherwise.

Same. The amount of times I've let a whole crockpot full of chili go bad because I forgot to put it away is staggering.

Just turn it back on and let it cook on high for an hour or two again. Throwing homemade chili out is a sin.

I can't count the number of times I've left something sit cold in the crockpot overnight and then ate it the next day after heating it on high for an hour or so. But I also licked cake batter from beaters growing up, so take my advice with a shaker of salt.

I used to eat raw home made cookie dough - raw eggs and all. What can I say, I like living on the edge.
