Evidently on Sony FF the IBIS unit is intended to not be locked in place, but I am a bit wary of wear and tear from it flopping around. I've had the body for less than a year and so far so good, but less than a year isn't very long...
Happy to hear your report on resolution not being a huge deal. I've been waffling about a 2x MP sensor (say.. like an X-H2s). I guess I've been shooting that resolution for a while and haven't ever had any image quality complaints.
