Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

Is there a car community on Lemmy yet?
So far I've only seen the very vocal anti car community
There's a mechanic advice page but not many have asked for advice. This is a shameless plug bc somehow I ended up being a part of that place and would love to see it active
No and with how most of the users lean, I have a hard time believing a car enthusiast community wouldn't be brigaded 24/7
Good point, we do have mechanic-advice now and just rolled into the shop though
I can't believe that's the predominant view on this platform but have heard a lot
Lemmy is basically white programmers posting Linux memes and how much they hate cars. There's no diversity here
You just described the best society ever, except for everyone being white
None that are really worth visiting. Cars is one. I think there's a classic car one as well but there are a handful of new posts there every week which makes it mostly useless. Such a shame since Reddit's car subs (and there were quite a few of them) were quite well trafficked.
There was even a sub for the Suzuki Samurai on reddit that got decent traffic. No way I could start one here.
The Subaru subs (more than one, in fact) got decent traffic. The car community on Lemmy gets less traffic than just one /WRX sub got on Reddit.
I miss arguing with my fellow car nerds!
In Australia its called Suzuki Jimny and its a dope car. Ive never owned one but I wish I did.
