When typing a comment, I usually don't actually laugh out loud or laugh my f------ ass off. It would be nice to have an acronym for laughing quietly to self. (discuss.tchncs.de)

You can use "hahaha" and call it a day. When you type other words, do you say them out loud? Exactly.

I do say "lol" and "lemao" out loud sometimes and it's pretty cringe.

I guess it's because I'm so used to typing lmao or lol even when not laughing. Then someone says something kinda funny irl and I feel like lemaoing is the appropriate response.

To be fair cringe can only affect you if you let it.
