I don't understand how the middle icons are skeumorphic. There is a notepad and a terminal prompt in it. How is that mimicking real world objects?

The last icon looks like a book. The second to last icon is quite nice.

Where in that article does it say that they gave 5 million to anonymous?

This article won't win over any converts with that snark at the end of it.

"Have fun filling out those accident reports"

What a stupid thing to write. I've been driving for 20+ years and I've never been in an accident. So why write that stupidity of a sentence?

It's like saying to a 30+ year old reader: "Here's a better way to tie your shoes. Oh, you won't do that? Have fun falling down and breaking your nose every year!"

We'll be dead by then. And by "we," I mean the whole human race. All life on Earth, actually.

"I wasn't always there for them, and I wanted them to know why and to understand what I did."

"I'm not mistaken, you just don't get it!"

I can't recall exactly, but they mentioned Trump. So, but given the grandparent poster's "So they did something wicked?" question, I'm sure it was something like "Like Trump, amirite?!"

I hate Trump as much as they next guy, but if I come to this lemmy community, it's precisely to escape the real life BS.

Eh. At this point, it's either that, or living in dread that that fucker will try something even shadier (and more effective) than his little Jan 6 toy coup.

It's a slippery slope.

What must happen is for Biden to start doing official acts.

Fuck off with u.s. politics where it doesn't belong.

Sure, but not to the point in which it's a constant stress.

We've already established that. But that method will shorten the life of the plant (and human.)

You're right, I should have written "No, it isn't." Fixed.

So, no, it isn't the response the author was looking for.
