So carbon taxing and not allowing their products in stores isn’t punishing them?

Guess that's a matter of opinion. Are most products still packaged in plastic? How many millions of bottles of water/soda are sold each day, week, year? Do we want to save the planet in time for future generations or are we justifying our own use of plastics by saying we tried?
