RIF developer counters Reddit CEO’s claims that he didn’t want to work with Reddit

This is a most excellent place for technology news and articles.
Yeah, that one really surprised me.
I knew that RiF had to rename at some point and I just figured that's when Reddit took issue with the trademark infraction of all Reddit apps, which would have kind of been fair enough.
But that the RiF dev actually had a separate deal, and his app was already called "Reddit is Fun" (which users almost certainly wouldn't mistake for the official app),
and that deal still got cancelled – I don't get that one.
I remember the name change but had no idea it was about that. I thought it was pretty obvious it wasn't an official reddit app, but I guess that's fair but definitely shows as a series of moves to wall off the brand and product.
