Managing mental health can be really difficult. It is a fine balance. Somedays you feel on top of the world and that you've overcome the stuff plaguing you. Only for you to feel utterly alone and the world is falling apart around you the next (at least from my experience). It's a tough gig!

Look after yourself though. Hopefully things can be mended between you and your mate.

Like @[email protected] said, try doing something you enjoy. It can be tough to find the motivation to start, though. By God can that be the hardest part... also try surround yourself with other friends and loved ones if at all possible.

But, above all else try take care of yourself :) (this is probably very hypocritical of me xD)

That’s so kind, thank you! You described the ups and downs amazingly well. And sometimes the downturn starts because you start thinking about how the good mood is short-lived and surely it’ll go back to shit soon.

Also about the hypocrisy, yes I’ve found it easier to help others than to help myself with taking care. A cool piece of advice I heard was to talk to myself like I would to a beloved friend. It helps sometimes.
