Honestly I've just been completely lost in lemmy today, ive been way more active on here than I ever was on reddit

My experience thus far has been similar. I think it has to do with the fact the quality of content overall is higher, and the volume is slow enough that you can actually meaningfully contribute to conversations without having to exclusively browse r/new
