Have to stay up for night shift prep, so put something gay and sad on thinking I'd be alright because it takes a bit for me to get worked up, but jesus fuck! I just am so insanely lucky to have my parents and their unwavering love and support. My Dad struggled a bit but he always reminded me he loved me, and his awkwardness around the subject had nothing to do with me. I don't know man, should not have done that, going to be thinking for a while and telling my Mum I love her.

Yeah, I feel lucky to have parents who are supportive of my sexuality and gender. Like they get very confused sometimes because I use they/them pronouns, but I understand that it's hard to get. My ex-stepdad was an absolute fucking dickhead, I'm glad he's not in my life anymore. But yeah, a lot of these stories about queer people being kicked out or killed really just hurts everytime I hear it. Like recently there was a dancer (who was my age!), O'Shae Sibley, who was voguing to Beyonce at a petrol station was killed. Like... it hurts, it really hurts.
