No guides I could find have been able to find him later. No confirmation it's impossible, but also nobody being able to shown it is possible.
Earlier I made a comment about how I'm playing this game making deliberate use of the F5 key, the quick save one, because I hate how one unexpected dice roll can absolutely destroy your goals. People kept commenting how "this game isn't for me" and how I'm "having fun wrong" so yeah... this is once again proves I'm right.
Sorry you missed on him, if it makes you feel better, many players that played the early access purposely avoid him because of a certain "annoying" characteristic I won't spoil here.
I was wondering if you could just ignore that characteristic
He leaves the party permanently if you do, i just keep a couple junk items around in my inventory for it and it hasn’t been an issue
Same. I picked a qualifying magic item for Gale. I think it sucks, so I just keep it for Gale for when he has the need for it. Looking out for you buddy!
If the annoyance is what I think it is: It's not that annoying since there are plenty of completely worthless things he can use, and he only needs like 2 or 3. And he is so worth it.
I forgot about it and had to give him a decent item :(
Yeah, all I'm seeing are shitty gaming journalism articles saying maybe in Act 2 you'll see him because of his companion quest being relevant there. I also saw some random Redditor say Act 3 with zero context added.
I feel I might know what annoying trait you're talking about. I've seen some magic items that say something about being able to be consumed by Gale. Which is even funnier if he's gone forever.
I really am enjoying the game, but it bugs me when folks say it is perfect.
