Kazuha. He was my second 5 star ever (first was Qiqi). I pulled him on release not knowing that there was a lot of negative impressions on him. I thought the grouping, animations, and stuff were so cool.
Do people actually not like him or was it just a reddit thing?
I don't think it was just a reddit thing. I remember he was constantly called a Sucrose sidegrade outside of reddit, too, and that he isn't worth it because Inazuma was around the corner. If you want to believe the China iOS sales posts, he also didn't enter the meta until later when people realized how great he was. It's considerably better nowadays.
I don't really know actually. I wasn't following Genshin Impact on social media at the time. I only found out on discussions in r/genshinimpactleaks long after that people were using Kazuha as an example of "a perceived bad unit but ended up really good" similar to the Kokomi situation.
