Why do I have to select language every time I post a comment? (meganice.online)

In my profile settings I've got "Interface Language" set to "English", but every time I comment I have to select a language, otherwise it won't post the comment (and there is no feedback saying it's the language that's causing it not to post).

I've been in Bulgaria once, years ago. I can confirm that with tourists they were speaking mostly shout
