Is there any way to get ad free without a subscription? I was happy to buy a paid version of the app before, but an ongoing subscription isn't really what I want.
Edit: it is not advertised as much as Ultra, but there is a one off payment option to remove ads, in the sidebar. Which I purchased!
If you haven't already, check for updates and download the latest release (beta 25) which adds a 'Remove Ads' option. Already paid myself.
There is a remove ads single payment option right? You're talking about the yearly subscription for sync ultra.
First-time user. Also purchased. Well worth the cost over all other apps out there.
I think I'm gonna a hold out a little and see how the beta unfolds. I had purchased the no-ads IAP in Sync for Reddit and it kinda always was worse/more fiddely than the (I think equally expensive) Pro version. Purchase didn't always restore after updates, sometimes something changed on the API and the no-ads purchase didn't work for days... Stuff like that, and when LJ came out with Ultra and offered a free year for Patreon backers, it was also only for users of the Pro version...
So please do excuse me for being a bit wary over a no-ads IAP, especially for 15 bucks. This time I would skip that and immediately go for a pro version, should there be one.
Sub only?
Automatic hard pass, sorry not sorry.
There is a one-time option as well in the sidebar apparently. I'm going to go check it out and not report back.
There's both a 1-time and a sub option
