Supporting links can be added in comments or posted seperately but not to the post body.

3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.

Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.

4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source.

Posts which titles don’t match the source won’t be removed, but the autoMod will notify you, and if your title misrepresents the original article, the post will be deleted. If the site changed their headline, the bot might still contact you, just ignore it, we won’t delete your post.

5. Only recent news is allowed.

8. Misinformation is prohibited.

Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.

9. No link shorteners.

The auto mod will contact you if a link shortener is detected, please delete your post if they are right.

10. Don't copy entire article in your post body

For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

Almost a decade later, in August 2022, the AFP made a breakthrough in the case while re-examining the images uncovered by Argos in 2014.

Guardian Australia understands detectives sought to identify bedsheets depicted in the background of one of the images and were eventually able to trace them to a childcare centre in suburban Brisbane.

I have no idea how to search for that website safely.

All pictures are sanitized in the below website links - I am loathe to suggest reddit under most circumstances these days, but in this case I'll make an exception: r/TraceAnObject is active and has links to a few websites where you can try to help ID stuff:

https://www.europol.europa.eu/stopchildabuse

https://www.accce.gov.au/what-we-do/trace-an-object

https://www.fbi.gov/wanted/ecap/seeking-information

Good hunting.

Edit: Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention, if you're looking to help with OSINT type stuff, there's also the Overt Operators discord:

https://discord.gg/overt-operator-967221648635871283

Edit 2: Wow, kinda surprised someone downvoted this. If I pissed off any child molesters with this post: Good, hope you die in a fire.

I see the downvotes, and either they're pedophiles, or people who hate reddit more than they hate pedophiles. Either way, speaks to fucked priorities.

Thanks for the links. It's still hard to look at that stuff even if it's "sanitized".

I don't see any downvotes currently

Maybe they changed their mind lol. Could've just been someone who hates reddit, which is pretty understandable with the whole enshittification thing.

Edit: I see two downvotes actually, can't speak to their reasoning as to why though.
