Is he really only worth $5m? Seems like he always scores against the Jets, I assumed he's worth a lot more.
He reportedly turned down money to play for Ottawa. Speculation is he wanted a prominent role or opportunity to win, and maybe both.
He ended up having a (statistically) worse season after moving over to the Rangers. That probably took a pretty big chunk out of his value.
He's gone down a bit since the shoulder surgeries. People thought he was only bad because there Blues were bad but his pace stayed the same on the Rangers. He might just be declining a bit earlier than expected.
