Makes me wonder if anyone besides Apple will be shipping a TV app for VR headsets. Seems like a relatively simple thing to do, so why not do it and use it as PR? Does Occulus have any streaming apps?

Rumor has it they are lining up sports events so it’ll be like you’re actually there (presented in full 3D).

This seems like a weird way to put it. The viewing experience at most sporting events is worse than TV. I have season tickets for my team, and part of why I'm not going to the last game of the season is because I want to have a good viewing experience, which means watching it at home on TV.
