It gets the job done, but pretty terrible QOL. We'll call it plan Z.
How about if you put the monitor power cables through a physical switch? Then you can put the switch where it's convenient and only have a single switch for multiple monitors.
This is what i do for my sim-rig so the wheel and accessories aren't on all the time.
