Did the owners just get tired of everyone ignoring their claims?

The owners never made the claim, I doubt they even know they owned it.

They probably found out they owned the benchy license because of the backlash.

It was just a huge messy issue triggered by one random person who knew Prusa would have to respond because they are hosted in Prague.

Good to know the creater wasn't a tool when someone tried to make an issue out of nothing.
