I've been doing yoga for over 2 years multiple times pretty much every week and I restarted weightlifting for mostly hypertrophy dec 2023 after not having done it for 5 years. I've never put that much thought towards "deload weeks" where you take a full on break for a week in order to have your body recover a bit better. Are these a necessity or what are your thoughts towards it?

I personally have not taken a designated deload week that was not 'forced' in like 2 years now. I think as long as you train smart, eat right, sleep well, etc you don't need to take deloads often. I think your body will tell you if you have been going to hard just listen to it. But everyone is different I have a friend that takes deloads like every month or so.

Yeah, I haven't really been feeling anything in particular. But my sleep and diet is on point.
