It was similar for me except that it took 3 months from initial conversations, and no prescription at the end just diagnosis. Took my first pill today, wish me luck.
I've been very upset though that it took this long to look for help, so many of my daily challenges were due to adhd.
I finally scheduled an appointment this week, only to be informed in a voicemail the next day that i scheduled with the wrong person for testing; but, that person can give me a referral to someone who can do testing. Could be worse! I'm lucky enough to right now have both good insurance, and the time and money to throw at fixing myself.
