Place to post and discuss THRASH METAL!
RULES (MUST READ):
- Please keep things relevant to thrash (death thrash, blackened thrash, crossover, speed metal etc. are permitted). While we understand it is subjective, if a moderator believes a song to stray too far from thrash, it will likely be locked. Please do not take this personally. Repeat offenders may see posts removed.
- Please search before posting a song, do not repeat posts.
- Friendly debate is encouraged.
- When posting a song use the format of "Band - Song [FFO: band1, band2]". This just helps keep things uniform. The "FFO" (For Fans Of) section is optional. It is for lesser known bands. (Stole this idea from the Death Metal community).
- No racist, sexist, blah blah blah... you get the idea. This is not the place to discuss sensitive matters.
- No NSFW content (apart from songs/album covers. If they do include NSFW content, please mark the posts as such).
- Post in English only (obviously you can post songs in different languages).
- But most of all have fun XD.

That snare drum ruins it for me. I like all the rest, but I'll never understand why anyone would choose such a shitty pompous snare drum sound like that..
Now that you point it out I can hear it, like consciously lmao hard to ignore now
At first I was like this with the snare in the album Impact is Imminent by Exodus. Took a while to get used to, however I've now grown to like it. I'm glad I did, because the drumming is superb on that album.
I'm actually a fan of that snare sound, that being said, it is FAR too forward in the mix. If they turned it down a little, I think it would fit nicely.
That's a fair point, it would be interesting to hear a different mix.
I hope that will be in the future: being able to download all the seperate channels of a track so you can make your own mix. I would love to hear what people would come up with! :D

EDIT: not tried this myself yet, but could be interesting.
