Fediverse vs Disinformation
Pointing out, debunking, and spreading awareness about state- and company-sponsored astroturfing on Lemmy and elsewhere. This includes social media manipulation, propaganda, and disinformation campaigns, among others.
Propaganda and disinformation are a big problem on the internet, and the Fediverse is no exception.
What's the difference between misinformation and disinformation? The inadvertent spread of false information is misinformation. Disinformation is the intentional spread of falsehoods.
By equipping yourself with knowledge of current disinformation campaigns by state actors, corporations and their cheerleaders, you will be better able to identify, report and (hopefully) remove content matching known disinformation campaigns.

We haven't tried shit, the Dems got a 60 senate supermajority and only by including caucusing Independents over a decade ago, it was the most productive congress since the 89th congress, and it came up 1 vote short of passing Singlepayer because every single republican and 1 of the caucusing Ind voted against it.
Then, we never gave them more than that since.
We actively have not been trying, because people like you and people like Maga are actively sabotaging things.
lol.
I didnt force biden and democrats to break a strike over sick leave.
I didnt force biden to slow roll the war in ukraine.
I didnt force biden to not wield an ounce of executive power effectively.
I didnt force harris to shit on muslim americans.
I didnt force harris to completely ignore working class americans.
I didnt force harris to allow a beaucrat to kill a minimum wage increase.
I didnt force the DNC to rig their processes against bernie.
I didnt force the DNC to pump MAGA republicans.
I didnt force the DNC to support arresting student protestors.
I didnt force the DNC to shit on trans people immediately following their loss.
I didnt force the DNC to not codified abortion rights for literally 47 years.
I didnt force the DNC to not put forward any transformative legislation for workers in 16 years.
I didnt force the democrats to not pass reform for congress investing.
I didnt force the democrats to maintain the filibuster.
I dont need to sabotage the democrats. they're doing a wonderful job of that themselves by lacking any evidence of actually helping american workers.
you're not a victim here, you're just unpopular. figure your shit out. I dont owe you or the democrats shit.
The hilarious thing is that 60 seat super majority was granted on the back of health care reform. the democrats havent put forth shit since then and they watered down that bill. Let me know when they put forward a plan worth spending my effort stumping for them. The list is long they have plenty of options.
edit reminder: the fillibuster is convention, not law. the democrats have had multiple opportunities to pass legislation effectively. They've declined every opportunity.
They voted on that health care reform and every single DNC voted to pass it, but it came up 1 vote short to get through the filibuster because they only had 60 as a result of caucusing Ind.
literally almost 2 decades ago and outside of the fact most of the leaders in the DNC are the same its fairly immaterial to the current issues.
When we gave them 58 we got results
If we give them 60 we get all of the results
So I say, support them 100%
you do you. I have better things to do with my time than support a group that has literally gone out of its way to not pass legislation that supports working americans.
reminder: fillibusters are a convention not a law. they've always had the ability to pass legislation with simple majorities. They've chosen not to.
if they start proposing and passing effective worker friendly legislation i'll reconsider.
