I'm genuinely trying, but I can't follow your meaning. I dont think we disagree as much as you think we do. Though, I'm not sure because I cant quite parse what you are arguing.
What I can follow though is that you have a problem with me specifically saying "Free Hong Kong" for whatever reason. Whatever you think of the merits of the sentiment of freeing Hong Kong, or of me saying so as a westerner, is entirely beside the point I was making about censorship. It have no intention of arguing geopolitics or pretending that it is my area of expertise. It is a comparable statement to "Free Palestine" in so far as it supports the sovereignty of a smaller nation being controlled (or worse) by a larger nation. One is apparently censored by Tik Tok, the other would be censored by Rednote. I think censoring either is wrong.
