Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. 4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

But you can’t even answer how guns help against the military or even militarized police.

They sure as fuck help against Kyle Rednecks in F250s where I'm from, you're the only one jerking off about the military. Now kindly fuck off, go waste someone elses time "comrade."

And, as we (apparently not you...) saw during the Black Lives Matter protests and countless others: the cops and national guard side with Kyle Redneck every single time.

People: "The Nazis are coming!"

You: "Get the fuck in teh train!#@!"

Wow that is a compelling argument.

You clearly aren't reading anything but to people who are less obsessed with finding a justification for the gun they build their identity around:

We are all scared. We all want to do something. And we all grew up with the idea that we are John McClane and are going to save the world one bullet at a time. And that isn't true.

The reality is what we have already seen happen. Hamas struck at Israel (let's simplify to that...). That, in turn, led to Israel using that as an excuse to commit genocide against the Palestinian people under the guise of attacking Hamas.

We already see trump trying to use that card against Mexico (and brown people) by wanting to list illegal immigrants as enemy combatants and cartels (which ARE fucking evil) as terrorist groups so that he can justify attacks on Mexican soil.

So what will that "armed support network" for trans people or black people do? it will result in trans folk being treated as terrorist groups. The same way that mosques were targeted in the wake of 9-11 and black people are STILL getting targeted under the guise of "gang violence".

The reality is that there is no easy answer. And rather than pretend there is one (when in reality it is just a person who loves the 2nd amendment above all...), we need to actually think about what can be done to ACTUALLY make a difference. Whether that is attempting harm mitigation or doing stuff that maybe shouldn't be talked about on a social network where complete randos have ridiculous amounts of data on you?

But buying guns? All you are doing is increasing the risk to you and your family (see: statistics on gun ownership) but also making the people you claim to care about an even bigger target. Because we already see every single school shooter who manages to get above the fold immediately listed as being insane because they are trans (even when they are just a bog standard republican fascist). Imagine what happens when the person who popped a bigot actually DOES have LGBTQ+ ties? And how "worth it" is that one fat white guy?
