I live in a country where an ambulance ride is covered by public health insurance.

I read $2,000 to be a typical cost in the US somewhere on Lemmy. I am sorry, if it is even worse in your area.

That figure is likely outdated due to the rapid inflation of the last few years. 3000-4000 is what I've heard in my area. Must be nice to live in a country that takes care of its populace.
